Force measurement FORCE SENSE TECHNOLOGY
The force measurement is the result of the desire for more operating safety.
Activation due to unintentional operation happens frequently on capacitive touch systems. Due to the technology used, the sensor reacts to every contact at the surface. In the case of a resistive touch systems minimal pressure is required for triggering the touch operation.
For this reason, we integrated the function of force measurement in our systems. The force of the current operation is measured permanently, and is only accepted when the desired force threshold value is triggered.
OPERATION SAFETY WITH A 2-WAY SYSTEM
The force measurement allows a differentiation between accidental unintended or intended operation.
COMBINATION OF FORCE MEASUREMENT AND TACTILE FEEDBACK introduces blind operation on touch-based user interfaces and also operation for BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE.
The block diagram shows how the Haptic Touch technology is integrated into your system. Previous systems consist of a touch sensor and a touch controller. In addition, there are the Haptic actuator and the Haptic controller which continuously transmits its Z-value (Force Sense Value) to the application. Based on the information provided by touch position and Z-value, the application decides the type of interaction at the surface.
